4 Point Graphics (1983) 2 Graphics DOS

First released in 1983 by IMSI (International Microcomputer Software, Inc), 4 Point Graphics was one of the earliest drawing and animation programs for the IBM PC. It competed against a drawing program called PC Crayon.

BPI Inventory Control (1986) 3 Financial DOS

BPI Inventory Control is one of a number of accounting and business management programs produced by BPI Systems, Inc. PBI software was among the more popular management programs during the early 1980s. There were versions for the Apple II, CP/M, and the IBM PC. Cougar Mountain Software ACT (1992) 1 Financial DOS

Cougar Mountain Software ACT 2 PLUS is a comprehensive multi-user accounting package. It includes General ledger, accounts receivable and payable, purchase order, order entry, inventory and payroll, check reconciliation. It also features the ability to import and export files, and a modular form set-up allows integration of all modules. It was sold alongside ACT 1 PLUS, the single user version.

FantaVision (1987) 1 Graphics DOS

Fantavision was an animation program from Broderbund originally for the Apple II but later ported to the Amiga, IIGS, and DOS. It features animation "tweening" to create smooth movements, support for digital sound to accompany animation, object-oriented animation control, and comes with an animation library. Prior to the DOS version release, similar tools were mostly found only on the Apple Macintosh. Fantavision was marketed toward both home users and business professionals. The IBM PC version supports CGA, EGA, Tandy, and Hercules video.
